Ethical Production

If we can make people feel better, and make a better world by making beautiful things for creative change with less human suffering from poor working conditions, less waste, and less environmental stress, why wouldn’t we?

OUR ETHICAL AND FAIR PRODUCTION;
FASHION REVOLUTION, AND ‘SLOW FASHION’

We believe in ethical, fair, and responsible trade, wages, and production, essentially the foundation of ‘Slow Fashion’. We base our costs from what our makers charge for production to make a healthy wage and go from there. Our makers are local and are our friends and neighbors.

Fashion Revolution

We support Fashion Revolution Organization’s mission in advocating for transparency and accountability in the fashion industry, and the ‘I Made Your Clothes’, ‘I Made Your Shoes’, ‘I Made Your Bag’ movements:

“We campaign for a clean, safe, fair, transparent and accountable fashion industry. We do this through research, education, collaboration, mobilization and advocacy.

The issues in the fashion industry never fall on any single person, brand, or company. That’s why we focus on using our voices to transform the entire system. With systemic and structural change, the fashion industry can lift millions of people out of poverty and provide them with decent and dignified livelihoods. It can conserve and restore our living planet. It can bring people together and be a great source of joy, creativity and expression for individuals and communities.”

Slow Fashion

“…If you’re going to buy new sustainable fashion from brands that follow ethical practices and give fair wages, use organic fibers, or create more durable items, you may end up paying more – but these [products] are meant to last longer.”

–Good Housekeeping, April, 2020

We Believe

…in a global fashion industry that conserves and restores the environment and values people over growth and profit.

We make things in small batches; costs are higher since we don’t buy or make things in large bulk. We are not a large corporation.

We believe only in production and practices that support optimal human conditions and incur little to no harm to our environment.

Our leather is ethically and responsibly produced only in USA.

Some of the items we make have components that are manufactured in Europe simply because they aren’t made in the USA or Canada.
